New Stakes-Winner for Zoustar

The $150,000 Listed Hannan’s Handicap (1400m) provided reigning champion sire Zoustar with a new stakes-winner when seven year-old gelding Multinational led for home and could not be caught.

Trained by Neville Parnham and ridden by Laqdar Ramoly, Multinational scored by a long neck in a career best performance.

A $140,000 Magic Millions purchase for Parnham Racing from the Kitchwin Hills draft, Multinational has the overall record of nine wins and seven placings from 49 starts with prizemoney topping $500,000.

Multinational was a $150,000 Magic Millions purchase.

Multinational is the best of five winners from eight foals to race from French Penn, a winning half-sister by Noverre (USA) to stakes-winner Cornell from stakes-winner Ivy League (IRE).

He is the 71st stakes-winner for Widden Stud’s Zoustar, who is covering a full book at a fee of $275,000.
