Tempted's Task is Tough in the Rose

Breednet - Wednesday September 24

There has been one lone filly win the Golden Rose but that was before it became a Group One, with the count since being zero.

Tempted will run the favourite in the Golden Rose this Saturday and she’ll be attempting to become the first filly to win since the race became Group I in 2009.

It was still Group II when Forensics won it in 2008, having won the Golden Slipper in her previous campaign and since then there have been 28 fillies have a crack.

Three started favourite and one of those came the closest with In Secret in 2022 beaten only a head by Jacquinot.

So the task can’t be under-estimated for Tempted who came to favouritism after beating six of her eight Golden Rose rivals convincingly in the Run To The Rose when resuming.
