Racenet tip sheet - Gawler, Wednesday August 09

Breednet - Wednesday August 9

This is the Racenet preview and tip sheet for Wednesday’s meeting at Gawler.

The track is rated a heavy (8) and the rail is in the true position.

Racenet’s summaries and tips for the meeting are.

Race 1 summary - Small field but it looks a challenging one to start the day. MILE HIGH was huge odds in a much harder race resuming, was very wide throughout and had the audacity to be only beaten five. BALWARRA GOLD was a good winner on debut and KAPINETTE also is a last start maiden winner that has speed. Wouldn't discard any of them of having a winning chance, think the market should reflect that.
Race 1 tips - 1st: MILE HIGH (3), 2nd: BALWARRA GOLD (4), 3rd: BALWARRA GOLD (4), 4th: FRANCE'S BOY (2).

Race 2 summary - INNESTON was good winning a trial recently, impressive maiden winner before going to the paddock. FLYIN' FOR ME has been good at two runs back from a spell. BOLDACIOUS GIRL is consistent and will run on well. For fourth, SAGARNO maps to get a cheap run if the inside is not off.
Race 2 tips - 1st: INNESTON (1), 2nd: FLYIN' FOR ME (7), 3rd: BOLDACIOUS GIRL (5), 4th: SAGANO (2).

Race 3 summary - TIME ROGUE was ok in these conditions resuming last start, looks the leader from the good draw. HE'S A VALLEYBOY handled the conditions ok last time but he is a 17 start maiden that needs everything to go right with his pattern of racing. MAZZARO has to be respected from the McEvoy yard. RIVER TOUCH next best.
Race 3 tips - 1st: TIME ROGUE (7), 2nd: HE'S A VALLEYBOY (4), 3rd: MAZZARO (10), 4th: RIVER TOUCH (11).

Race 4 summary - BON ELISE will be one of the leaders and handles the conditions well. Should be making her own luck. TREICHELN will be giving her a big start but the way she ran on in the heavy conditions two starts back suggests she won't be far away. NISHIAZABU is better suited over the big jumps but he handles the conditions well. For fourth, SPUR ON GOLD.
Race 4 tips - 1st: BON ELISE (3), 2nd: TREICHELN (4), 3rd: NISHIAZABU (8), 4th: SPUR ON GOLD (2).

Race 5 summary - ÉCLAIR CALLING gets the horror draw, has trialed well and may get out to a stupid price from that draw. ANMNESIS has been ok at his last couple, likely to be up on the speed and trying to lead all the way. PERSERVERANCE will roll forward, showed improvement fresh after a tough run. REAP THE BENEFIT has been good at both runs but once again draws poorly.
Race 5 tips - 1st: ECLAIR CALLING (3), 2nd: ANAMNESIS (1), 3rd: PERSEVERANCE (6), 4th: REAP THE BENEFIT (8).

Race 6 summary - GRAND ARMADA loves the wet, maps to get a cheap run up on the speed. Hard to beat if the track stays heavy. BEL STREAK has a decent turn of foot, just needs to be saved for one run. EXALTED DEE handled these conditions ok last time and for fourth, WISH LIST maps well.
Race 6 tips - 1st: GRAND ARMADA (2), 2nd: BEL STREAK (1), 3rd: EXALTED DEE (7), 4th: WISH LIST (8).

Race 7 summary - May get a bit of each-way value about BEEJAYDEE here, she was ok resuming but was a winner second-up at her first campaign. AEROFY was like to stay standing last start after sever interference, he looks to have stack of potential and should have the cold sit on the leaders. POUND STERLING has the wide draw but that may be ok today, will be charging across early from out wide. COPERNICUS prominent in early betting.
Race 7 tips - 1st: BEEJAYDEE (7), 2nd: AEROFY (3), 3rd: POUND STERLING (1), 4th: COPERNICUS (4).

Race 8 summary - RED BEGONIA should be nearing peak fitness today, has a good turn of foot and maps well. Chance if saved for one run at them. SAGAAB was a big winner last time after working, if he can repeat that effort he will go close. FREEDOM ROAD maps to be mid-field and with cover, just needs to handle the heavy track. DOLLAR DOLLAR BILL is a chance if ridden positively from the wide gate with the blinkers on.
Race 8 tips - 1st: RED BEGONIA (1), 2nd: SAGAAB (6), 3rd: FREEDOM ROAD (5), 4th: DOLLAR DOLLAR BILL (8).
