Sire Power Highlights Quality MM Horses in Training Catalogue

Media Release - Thursday August 28

An incredible selection of the country's best proven and hottest young sires will feature at the 2025 Magic Millions Gold Coast Horses in Training Sale in October.

The catalogue for the popular domestic and international auction is now online featuring 210 lots, plus supplementaries. While the majority of the catalogue are two-year-olds, the sale includes an exciting selection of three-year-old and four-year-old racing prospects - some already winners.

Champion sire Written Tycoon has six entries in the sale.

No fewer than 90 individual sires are represented in the line up in 2025 including established stars Alabama Express, Better Than Ready, Capitalist, Exceed and Excel, Harry Angel, Hellbent, I Am Invincible, Maurice, Pierata, Proisir, Snitzel, Spirit of Boom, Star Turn, Street Boss, Tarzino, The Autumn Sun, Toronado, Trapeze Artist, Wootton Bassett, Written Tycoon, Zousain and Zoustar.

Hot young stallions Bivouac, Farnan, Home Affairs, Ole Kirk, Stay Inside, St Mark's Basilica, Tiger of Malay and Wild Ruler are also represented by youngsters.

Catalogue highlights include (at least half) relations to stakes winners including Group One winners Briasa, Levendi and Sofia Rosa as well as fellow group winners Hemlock Stone, Kristilli, Madam Rouge and Yellow Brick.

Also featured are youngsters from group winning mares including Diademe, Best Behavior, Col 'n' Lil, Flashy Lassie, Jade Marauder, Sweet Redemption, Ticket to Ride and World Peace.

In a great boost to buyers no fewer than 59 horses have been nominated to the Magic Millions Race Series, each eligible for more than $20 million and 28 races throughout Australia every year.

"We are delighted with the catalogue that has been assembled for the sale," Magic Millions Managing Director Barry Bowditch said. "The majority of our leading sires are represented - sire power like never before."

"Importantly the sale is again supported by the leading horsemen and women in the country. They are proven equine educators with proud histories of producing high class racehorses."

"Our vendors are leaders in the industry and prospective buyers get the opportunity to see the youngsters breeze around Australia before going under the hammer on the Gold Coast."

"Previous sale graduates have won at the elite level in Australia and abroad and we look forward to this trend continuing into the future."

Four breeze-up sessions will be held around Australia between September 23 and October 7 - with the sale being conducted at the Gold Coast on Thursday, October 9.

"Our breeze-up sessions around Australia will again use first-class industry leading technology to help buyers with details such as top speeds, stride length and frequency as well as speed over 200, 400 and 600 metres."

"This TripleS data, via electronic chips, uses quality raceday technology to take away the guesswork for interested parties," Bowditch added.
