Pierro and So You Think Combine

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday August 12

Two of Coolmore’s most proven and reliable Group I sires combined to give Torryburn Stud a promising homebred winner at Goulburn on Monday.

Lightly raced four year-old Pierro mare The Cristal cast off maiden status at her third start when cruising clear to win over 1500m by more than two lengths.

Trained by Annabel and Rob Archibald and ridden by Mollie Fitzgerald, she improved off her last start second and can no doubt progress through her grades.

The Cristal is the second foal and second winner from Group III winning So You Think mare The Pinnacle, a half-sister to Group III winner Under the Eiffel and stakes-winner Tower of London.

The Pinnacle has been a regular visitor to Coolmore and a filly by Wootton Bassett (GB) last spring and is due to foal to him again.

Pierro

Pierro has had just two runners from mares by So You Think and both are winners!

Pierro stands at a fee of $33,000 this spring and So You Think at $44,000 , amazing value when you consider this pair have produced 18 Group I winners between them.
