Ozzmosis First Born is Feeling Frisky!

Tara Madgwick - Friday August 8

Group I VRC Coolmore Stud Stakes winner Ozzmosis was in demand at Newgate last spring covering 192 mares and his first born foal that arrived on July 31 at Alma Vale Thoroughbreds is the source of great pride for owners Ian and Cathy Mathieson.

Ozzmosis colt from Cool Change was born on July 31 at Alma Vale Thoroughbreds.

The second foal of stakes-placed Showcasing (GB) mare Cool Change (NZ), this handsome colt has come along in leaps and bounds with his owners sending in a selection of images.

Look at me now!

“Cool Change is by Showcasing, who is very much an emerging broodmare sire with already 31 stakes horses from limited crops including multiple Group I and Classic winning filly LAKE VICTORIA,” said Ian Mathieson.

“He is the second foal of the mare with the first foal being a stunning Anamoe yearling filly.

“On the strength of the Ozzmosis colt, Cool Change will be going back to Newgate Farm to be covered by Ozzmosis again this year.”

Ozzmosis is one of three Group I winning sons at stud this spring for reigning champion sire Zoustar with the other two being Schwarz (Rosemont Stud) and Starlust (GB) (Riverstone Lodge).
