Bred to Win Returns on Monday night

Media Release - Sunday August 3

Caroline Searcy’s Bred To Win returns this Monday night profiling new and proven stallions heading into the Spring of 2025 and promoting the thoroughbred breeding industry in Australia and around the world.

In the first episode back, stallions featured include recently retired 4-time Group 1 winner Broadsiding and his sire Too Darn Hot (Dubawi) who returns for the 2025 season at Darley’s Kelvinside base in the Hunter Valley of NSW, after being crowned Australia’s Champion Second Season Sire.

Last year Broadsiding was getting ready for the Golden Rose and this year he's getting ready to cover his first book of mares!

Golden Slipper winner Farnan (Not A Single Doubt) had a great first season with three stakes-winners, finishing season 2024-2025 as leading First Season Sire by winners and he features, along with Kia Ora Stud barn mates Captivant and Prague.

Long time supporter of Bred To Win, Cambridge Stud this season presents a brand new segment, “Stud Dogs of Australasia” a quirky and fun segment taking a look at the breeding industries’ greatest companions - our dogs of all shapes and sizes - who are a much-loved part of any farm operation.

Private Life is raring to go!

In coming weeks more new stallions will be featured giving mare owners and racing fans a chance to assess who will be the horses to shape the breed in coming years. They include Coolmore’s Switzerland (Snitzel) and Private Life (Written Tycoon) and imports such as Arrowfield Stud’s highly credentialled Vandeek (Havana Grey).
