Trained by Jim and Greg Lee, Glorious Moments has always shown talent at the trials, but in two race starts last year in good company he failed to flatter with a last placed finish in the Group III ATC Pago Pago Stakes won by Dublin Down leading to him being gelded.

He returned a changed horse and bolted in first up at Canterbury in a maiden last month and then stepped up to Benchmark 72 class over 1300m with Heavelon Van Der Hoven in the saddle.

Sent out favourite, the talented bay thrashed the opposition to win by more than four lengths and has now won two of four starts earning nearly $170,000 in prizemoney.

“He’s still so raw, so to be doing this right now is just so exciting,” said Heavelon Van Der Hoven.

“He’s got a good turn of foot which in the future will be a good advantage for him to have.”

Glorious Moments was an $85,000 Inglis Classic purchase from Kirks Bridge Farm for Shinkansen Bloodstock and is a half-brother to $1.1million earning Group II winner Stretan Angel, who is also three times G1 placed.

He is the third winner from Sretan, a placed half-sister by Bernardini (USA) to Group II placed Alegria (the dam of Group II winner Alegron) from Group III winner Pure Joy.

Sretan had a Wild Ruler yearling colt that sold at Inglis Easter this year in the Willow Park draft for $220,000 to Stokes Racing / Suman Hedge Bloodstock.

She produced a colt last spring by Stretan Angel’s sire Harry Angel (IRE) and is back in foal to him again.

Brutal sired his first Group I winner  this season in exciting 2YO colt Nepotism and stands at Newgate at a fee of $16,500.
