Inglis Digital Now Online - G1 Winner Velocious the Star

The G1-winning Champion 2YO Velocious (Written Tycoon) has been joined by a host of outstanding racing and breeding prospects in a tantalising Inglis Digital July (Late) Online Sale catalogue.

Velocious was named NZ Champion 2YO in 2023/24 off the back of a spectacular juvenile campaign which included victories in the $1m Karaka Million and the G1 Sistema Stakes.

The Stephen Marsh-trained Velocious is one of only three G1-winning 2YO fillies by Written Tycoon. The other two are G1 Golden Slipper winner Lady of Camelot and La Luna Rossa, dam of this season’s G1 placed 2YO and Inglis Easter Yearling Sale graduate Hidden Achievement.

While Velocious (pictured) is undoubtedly the headline act of the July (Late) catalogue, there is an abundance of quality breeding stock entries especially around her.

Invisible Coin (Redoute’s Choice) is the dam of G1 winner Gypsy Goddess.

She is being offered in foal to Champion Anamoe, whose first weanlings this year sold up to $360,000.

Royal Mule is from one of the best families in the Australasian Stud Book, being a Kingman half sister to multiple Group winner Tiz Invincible - which realised $2.8m at the Chairman’s Sale in May - and promising Stakes placed 2YO Navy Pilot.

Amongst other appealing lots are Stakes-winning mare Wild Belle (Pride of Dubai) and dual Stakes placed mare Poetic Drama (Proisir), both of which are being offered ready for their maiden covers this spring.

There are also many outstanding opportunities in the racehorse shares section of the catalogue including 12.5% in the G1-winning filly Molly Bloom, 10% in promising last start 2YO winner Aligned (Russian Revolution), 25% in the Group placed mare Extratwo (Toronado), 10% in lightly raced metro winner Federer (Dundeel) and 20% in the last start-winning, Group raced 2YO colt Lofty Thoughts (Snitzel).

In total the July (Late) catalogue consists of 425 lots – 203 racehorses (107 race fillies), 102 broodmares, 74 racehorse shares, 20 yearlings, 20 weanlings, 3 stallions and 3 unraced stock.

The sale will coincide with the official launch of the new and improved Inglis Digital website.

Clients who are yet to are urged to familiarise themselves with the new site and create their new platform log in ahead of the final countdown of bidding, which begins from 10am Wednesday.
