The Victorian stallion parade week in August will start with Blue Gum Farm opening the gates on Sunday August 10 for a friendly lunchtime gathering while inspecting the farm’s three stallions – Sejardan, Flying Artie and Oxley Road.
At a fee of $11,000, Flying Artie is supremely good value as a proven G1 sire with 87 Australian winners this season including three stakes-winners highlighted by new rising star sprint mare In Flight.
Also flying his flag, Hong Kong based four year-old My Wish, awarded Most Improved Horse at the annual Hong Kong Racing Awards last week.
Sejardan has made everyone sit up and take note at the weanling sales this year with his first crop babies much admired.
His top sellers are listed below and all were conceived at a fee of $13,750 and he remains at the same fee.
Oxley Road is the third sire, a brilliantly fast Group winning son of Exceed and Excel that covered his first book of mares last spring. A full brother to Group I winning young sire Exceedance, he stands at a fee of $6,600.
