Gelded after making an unplaced debut back in February in a strong metro maiden won by subsequent Group winner King of Pop, Sea Admiral had looked good in recent trials giving rise to market confidence for his return.

He enjoyed a perfect run in transit sitting one out behind the leader for Keagan Latham and was strong to the line scoring a long head win over Snitzel filly Mashean.

Sea Admiral was a pinhook winner before he became a racetrack winner, purchased for $20,000 by Carrington Park Stud from the Taghadoe Stud draft at Magic Millions National before being re-offered in their drat at Inglis Classic where he was bought by John Thompson for $70,000.

Sea Admiral was a $70,000 Inglis Classic purchase.

Sea Admiral is a half-brother to stakes-placed Perilous Fighter and Mount Zero being the eighth winner from nine foals to race from stakes-winning Royal Academy (USA) mare Beauty School, who comes from the family of Golden Slipper winning sire Farnan.

Sea Admiral is the fourth winner for Hanseatic, who is also the sire of three stakes horses Bermondsey, Befuddle and Rohesia.
