I Am Unstoppable New for Oaklands Stud

Queenslanders have not had a great deal of opportunity to breed to sons of champion sire I Am Invincible with just two listed to stand in the sunshine state this spring, although we can now make that three with Oaklands Stud announcing the addition of Group I performer I Am Unstoppable.

Neville Stewart is delighted to announce the acquisition of I Am Unstoppable, an undefeated juvenile stakes-winner that progressed at three to be one of the best sprinting colts of the following spring.

Trained by Lloyd Kennewell, I Am Unstoppable had four starts as a spring 3YO in elite company placing in all of them behind G1 stars such as Cylinder, Stretan Angel and Ozzmosis.

The $2million Group I VRC Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m) is the pinnacle for sprinting colts and invariably attracts an elite field with 16 horses lining up in the 2023 renewal.

Victory went to Ozzmosis, who now stands at Newgate Farm at a fee of $44,000, while in third place was Golden Slipper winner Shinzo, who stands at Coolmore at a fee of $55,000.

Splitting this pair of high profile colts was I Am Unstoppable, who surged home fast for a gallant second.

“We are thrilled to bring a horse of the quality of I Am Unstoppable to Queensland,” said Neville Stewart.

“The Coolmore is one of those iconic races for colts and his run that day was outstanding.

“He’s a very handsome horse and has the pedigree to match, so when David Chester (Magic Millions) suggested him to us we could see what a good fit he would be for local breeders looking for that G1 ability and quality pedigree.

“David brokered the deal and I’d like to thank Antony Thompson (Widden Stud) for the opportunity to purchase the horse and Widden will have an ongoing interest as they plan to send a few mares to him.

“Many years ago we purchased Lion Hunter through David and I see I Am Unstoppable as the same opportunity for Queensland and Oaklands Stud.”

I Am Unstoppable will stand at a fee of $8,800 inc. GST

Bred by Belinda Bateman, I Am Unstoppable was foaled and raised at Newgate Farm in the Hunter Valley, so enjoyed the very best start in life.

I Am Unstoppable is the first foal of Listed ATC Gimcrack Stakes winner Satin Slipper, a daughter of Golden Slipper winning sire Pierro from Group II winner Satin Shoes, who was also placed in a Group I VRC Coolmore Stud Stakes and is by another Golden Slipper winning sire in Flying Spur.

His third dam Star Satire was a Group I winner awarded the Champion 3YO Sprinting Filly in New Zealand, so I Am Unstoppable has one of those rare female families with his first three dams all being stakes-winners.

I Am Unstoppable will be priced at $8,800 inc GST this spring with live foal guarantee.

There are a limited number of lifetime nominations available at a price of $14,000 plus GST that will entitle the owner to two nominations in each of years one, two, three and four with one per year thereafter. For further information on the lifetime nominations, contact David Chester at Magic Millions on 0410 683 466 or Neville Stewart on 0418 718 011.

I Am Unstoppable has arrived at Oaklands Stud where he will stand alongside Pariah, Power (GB) and Prince Fawaz.

For more information or to arrange an inspection contact Neville Stewart on 0418 718 011.
