Desert Lightning runs for Pride of Dubai - image Grant Courtney

Widden Stud’s Zoustar has opened up a margin over his rival Pride of Dubai in the race to be Champion Sire by earnings, but he is without a runner in this contest, while Coolmore value sire Pride of Dubai has a good chance in Desert Lightning.

Darley shuttler Harry Angel (IRE) has had a break out season with Group I winners Tom Kitten and Private Harry putting him at the top of the third season sires list by a mile and he’s also seventh on the general sires list.

Harry Angel will be shooting for a third G1 winner this season with race favourite the Kiwi bred 4YO War Machine.
