One to Watch – Seymour

Sent out a short priced favourite with Ethan Brown to ride, Job Done made it look easy as he skipped clear to win the 1000m maiden eased down by a couple of lengths with ears pricked.

“He’s well above average and certainly metro class, he couldn’t have done much more today,” said Ethan Brown.

“He jumped well and put himself into a spot and is very well educated. Coming to the line when I eased him up, he pricked his ears so he won with plenty in hand.”

Job Done was passed in as a yearling and retained to race by his breeders and is a half-brother to Group II winner Comtessa Vanessa and Group II placed Pivot City being the fifth winner from six to race from well bred Lonhro mare Di Lusso.

She traces back to blue hen Eljazzi, whose descendants include champion sire Invincible Spirit and Group I winners such as Pride of Dubai and Pinatubo.

Di Lusso had a colt by Toronado (IRE) last year and is back in foal to him again.

Snitzel has had a really hot run with his current season juveniles producing 20 winners – 14 in Australia and six in New Zealand with G1 winners in both jurisdictions courtesy of Golden Slipper winner Marhoona and Sistema Stakes winner Return to Conquer.

Turning 23, Snitzel stands at a fee of $247,500 this spring.
