Triple Crown Syndications Rewarded - $1.6million Revolutionary Miss

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday May 27

Triple Crown Syndications took a punt on a $195,000 yearling filly by first season sire Russian Revolution at the 2021 Magic Millions and at the MM National Sale on Tuesday they sold Revolutionary Miss for $1.6million.

Consigned at this sale by Yarraman as agent for Triple Crown she was bought by leading Japanese breeder Katsumi Yoshida.

Revolutionary Miss has been a star from the start winning the Group II MRC Blue Diamond Prelude at her third start to become the first stakes-winner for Russian Revolution.

She trained on at three, four and five for Peter Snowden and then more recently with Ciaron Maher racking up multiple Group wins with the overall record of seven wins and eight placings from 32 starts with prizemoney of $1.8million.

She remains the highest stakes earner for Russian Revolution and is a half-sister to stakes-winner Equation from a quality Black Type family.

“It’s a fairytale result and just such a wonderful experience for all the owners here today,” said Chris Ward of Triple Crown.

“They came to experience a different side to the whole industry, which is great, it’s not all about raceday, and Magic Millions put on a great day and they get all the buyers here, so it’s a great result all round.

“I think there’s probably about 18 different owners of all different share sizes. Whether you own 2.5 percent or you own 100 percent, it’s a massive result and a lot of lifelong friends have been made amongst this group, so it’s really pleasing.”

“She was pretty unlucky actually not to get that Group I result on the track, she went awfully close, but we effectively got a Group 1 result today.”

Yarraman also sold smart Hellbent mare Miss Hellfire for Triple Crown and she made $640,000 when bought by Newgate Bloodstock.

A bargain $60,000 Magic Millions purchase for Triple Crown, Miss Hellfire was Group II placed and won over $650,000 in prizemoney with three wins and 10 placings from 30 starts.

“We bred her on the farm and she was a lovely yearling. Triple Crown bought her off us, and she’s out of a very special mare that every foal the mother has had is a Black Type horse,” said Henry Field.

“She’ll be a lovely mare for Extreme Choice, her half-sister was an ill-fated Extreme Choice filly called Xtremetime who was a very, very good horse that unfortunately passed away prematurely. We’re very happy to get her.”
