Godolphin Unleash 2million Frankel Colt

Tara Madgwick - Monday May 19

A Frankel colt from Loch Lein was the top seller at the 2024 Goffs Orby Book Yearling Sale when selling to Godolphin for €2million and he made a hugely impressive winning debut overnight at Newmarket.

Trained by Charlie Appleby and ridden by William Buick, Treanmor was backed as though defeat was not an option and he duly trotted up winning the 6f contest by four lengths.

Buick was impressed, but certainly not surprised.

Treanmor is a likely contender for Royal Ascot with the Group II Coventry Stakes on his radar.

Sale-topper - Treanmor sold for 2million at Goffs as a yearling.

Offered at Goffs by Croom House Stud, the star colt is the first foal of stakes-winning Invincible spirit mare Loch Lein, who comes from a North American female family that has had success in Europe to produce multiple Group I winner Lord North.
