$1.5 Million Snitzel Colt

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday April 10
The first foal of 2014 Group I ATC Champagne Stakes winner Go Indy Go was setting the pace at lunchtime on Tuesday at the 2018 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale when selling for $1,500,000.

$1.5 million Snitzel colt from Go Indy GoHe was the subject of keen competition before Queenslander Steve Morley secured the colt on behalf of a syndicate with the recorded buyers Steve Morley Bloodstock / Glenlogan Park / Whitby Bloodstock / RIFA Mustang QLD.

Morley is the Stud Manager for leading Queensland nursery Glenlogan Park, who have moved out of the business of standing stallions at their own farm, but are looking to invest in quality colts that may ultimately stand in the Hunter Valley.

"I saw him as a foal at Kitchwin Hills and not many horses stand out in a paddock of youngsters the way he did," Morley told Sky Racing.

"I haven't had my eye on him for just the past five days, I've been watching him since he was a foal."

Peter and Paul Snowden have been confirmed as training the colt.

The team at Kitchwin Hills will be hoping this colt runs up to his good looks as Go Indy Go had another colt last spring by Snitzel and is back in foal to Arrowfield's champion sire.

Go Indy Go was a Group I winner at a mile by Darley shuttler Bernardini (USA) and comes from an outstanding female family that has produced a Golden Slipper winner in Ha Ha and a Caulfield Cup winner in Southern Speed, so this fellow has the pedigree to be both fast and versatile.
