The 2018 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale is off to a rollicking start with seven lots selling for a $1 million or more.

It was the start that many had whispered pre-sale but few were game to say out loud.

Unsurprisingly, Snitzel was the star of the session with three lots making over a million. However, the good news for Arrowfield did not rest solely on their champion stallion as the decision to invest in the superstars Deep Impact and Frankel paid off handsomely.

The Japanese sensation Deep Impact had two sell for over $1 million while Frankel's colt out of Aqua Bella (GB) saw a return to the bigtime of Domeland who outlaid $1.1 million for the colt out of a daughter of the Danehill mare Aquarelliste.

Chris Waller and Guy Mulcaster secured the top lot of the session, a Snitzel filly out of the unraced Galileo mare Azmiyna (IRE) for $1.3 million, having secured the third top priced lot, a Deep Impact filly out of the Coolmore Classic winner Alverta for $1.1 million.
