Dual Group I winner Tosen Stardom has run his last race and been retired to stud.

Tosen Stardom - Grant CourtneyThe seven-year-old stallion disappointed in Saturday's Group I Doncaster Mile and James Price, general manager commercial, of Woodside Parkin Victoria indicated Tosen Stardom has raced for the last time.

"The indications from most of the partners is for him to be retired," Price said.

Tosen Stardom ran secondto stablemateBrave Smashin the Group IFuturity StakesatCaulfieldsecond-up in February but has disappointed in two runs since.

"Craig Williamsfelt the horse didn't really want to run through the line on Saturday which suggestedto us that the horse is ready for the breeding barn," Price said.

"Stopping now gives him time to let down and settle into life on a stud farm and be ready to go in September."

A dual Group III winner in Japan, Tosen Stardom was prepared byDarren Weirto win the Group I Mackinnon Stakes over 2000m atFlemingtondefeatingHappy Clapperlast spring after winning the Group IToorak Handicapover 1600m at Caulfield.

"It's shame he hasn't been able to replicate his form from the spring but he's really got nothing left to achieve on the track," Price said.

"As a dual Group One winning son of arguably the world's best stallion in Deep Impact, it's disappointing he is probably finished racing but it is exciting to be getting him to the farm for the next phase of his career."
