$1.1 Million for Deep Impact Filly

Tara Madgwick - Monday April 9
Riverside Stables did not have to wait long to see the first million dollar yearling grace the new sale ring at the 2018 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale with a stunning Deep Impact filly offered as Lot 11 from Arrowfield Stud fetching $1,100,000.

$1.1 million Deep Impact filly from AlvertaConceived in Japan, the filly was bred by Arrowfield and partners and is the fourth foal of Australian Group I winner Alverta, whose four year-old daughter Tosen Alverta was a winner in Japan over the weekend.

By champion sire Flying Spur, Alverta won the 2010 STC Coolmore Classic and her first three foals are all winners.

She was bought by Waller Racing and Guy Mulcaster, so will have every chance to succeed in Sydney's premier stable.

"She has a lovely pedigree and Deep Impact has been successful right around the world, not just in Japan," Mulcaster told Sky Racing.

"They are magnificent horses and they perform everywhere they go, so we're really happy to have her."

The filly is one of two in the sale by Deep Impact, the other from Charming Estelle will be offered as Lot 70.
