With keen competition expected on the big lots later tonight at the Inglis Chairman’s Sale, New Zealand based Rich Hill Stud struck early in the evening and found some serious value purchasing Pierro stakes-winner Poifect for just $250,000.
Poifect was purchased by Lindsay Park Racing for $200,000 from Inglis Easter back in 2022 and won four races and over $246,000 in prizemoney. She was offered as a racing and breeding prospect so may have more to offer on the track.
She was consigned by Glenesk Thoroughbreds and has a deep pedigree tracing back to revered blue hen Fanfreluche and her dam is a half-sister to stakes-winning juveniles Krupt and Anevay, so she brings much to the table as a potential mate for Rich Hill Stud’s champion sire Proisir.
Pierro mares have made a fast start at stud producing seven stakes-winners highlighted by Group I winners Jacquinot and last weekend’s SA Derby winner Femminile.
