Nine mares sold for $1million or more last year with the star lots She’s Extreme ($3.4million) and Tutta La Vita ($3.2million) purchased by Tom Magnier and Resolute Racing respectively.

Both were sent to North America, dual Group I winner She’s Extreme to be covered by Justify and Tutta La Vita to race on in search of a stakes win to go with her Group I placings.

She’s Extreme is safely back at Coolmore Australia in foal to Justify and Tutta La Vita has had a couple of runs in the US without finding the winner’s circle and was last seen running second at Gulfstream on February 22.

Four mares sold for $1million or more with the top seller In Her Time ($2million), who was bought off the track by Newgate and then re-sold the following year in foal to I Am Invincible.

Next highest was Samaready ($1.8million), who was bought by Tom Magnier in foal to Snitzel with the resulting foal being Golden Slipper winner Shinzo, who stands at Coolmore a fee of $55,000 with his first foals expected this spring.

Samaready proved to be a troubled producer after having Shinzo and was exported to the Northern Hemisphere in 2022 and appears to have had a foal by Justify last year.
