Ninth Winner for Farnan

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday April 30

Kia Ora Stud announced service fees earlier this week with Golden Slipper winner Farnan given an increase to $77,000 and he added a ninth first crop winner to his tally at Ipswich on Wednesday with a stylish victory for North Pole.

Bred and retained to race by Highgrove Stud, North Pole was fourth and third at his first two starts back in January, but looks ot have come back a stronger horse this prep.

Trained by Kelly Schweida and ridden by Angela Jones, North Pole too charge from the start and led all the way showing plenty of fight under pressure to win the 1240m maiden by half length.
