Magic Millions Appoints Thomas Yeung as Hong Kong Representative

Media Release - Friday April 11

Magic Millions is delighted to announce the appointment of Thomas Yeung as its new Hong Kong Representative.

With more than 20 years of experience as a respected horseman, Thomas brings a wealth of industry knowledge and essential connections within the Hong Kong racing and bloodstock community. His career spans roles as a professional jockey, track rider, stable manager, and senior administration officer, and he currently represents Kentucky Equine Research in the Hong Kong and Conghua markets—working hands-on with trainers and stables on a weekly basis.

Thomas Yeugn is the new Magic Millions rep in HK.

Thomas has long-standing relationships with many of Hong Kong’s leading trainers and owners and continues to work closely with the Hong Kong Jockey Club. His time riding professionally in Western Australia has given him a solid understanding of the Australian racing and sales landscape, uniquely positioning him to support clients looking to source quality bloodstock through Magic Millions.

“I’m honoured to be joining the Magic Millions team in this exciting new role,” Thomas Yeung said. “Having worked in the Hong Kong racing industry for over two decades, I’m passionate about supporting local trainers and owners and helping them discover the world-class opportunities Magic Millions has to offer. I look forward to strengthening existing relationships and building new ones as I proudly represent Magic Millions in Hong Kong.”

Magic Millions Managing Director Barry Bowditch welcomed Thomas’s appointment, highlighting its importance in bolstering the company’s presence in one of the world’s most dynamic and influential racing regions.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Thomas Yeung to the Magic Millions team,” Bowditch said. “His extensive experience within the Hong Kong racing industry, coupled with his strong and ongoing relationships with local trainers and the Hong Kong Jockey Club, make him an invaluable asset to our business in the region.”

“Thomas is respected by the local racing community and brings a unique perspective from both a horseman and administrative background with the HKJC. His time spent in the Australian market strengthens his ability to support our clients and promote Australian bloodstock into Hong Kong.”

“We’re also excited for Thomas to work closely with our expanding network of representatives across Asia—including Amy Feng in China, Ancy Palma in the Philippines, and Yoo Jae-Hyong in Korea,” Bowditch added. “He’ll also be joining forces with David Chester, who is about to embark on a month-long tour of South East Asia to promote our upcoming National Sale which we’re full steam ahead on at the moment.”

“Together, this team forms a key part of our commitment to servicing clients throughout South East Asia and continuing to build strong international relationships that are the foundation of Magic Millions’ global success.”

Thomas will be based in Hong Kong and work directly with the Magic Millions Bloodstock team to assist clients with sales, logistics, and all aspects of their participation in Magic Millions events.
