Fillies You Can’t Live Without

Tara Madgwick - Thursday March 29
Our earlier story this week highlighting some Inglis Easter 'Colts to Die for'' was begging for a sequel, so here we are with a selection of jaw dropping fillies.

Lot 11
Filly Deep Impact x Alverta, by Flying Spur – Arrowfield Stud

By Japanese sire sensation Deep Impact, whose sire Sunday Silence set this sale ring alight going back a few years when Arrowfield Stud did a similar thing in sending mares to Shadai Farm to be covered to Southern Hemisphere time. This filly is the fourth foal of Group I STC Coolmore Classic winner Alverta, whose first three foals are all winners. She is one of two Deep Impact fillies for Arrowfield, the other is equally appealing as Lot 70 from Charming Estelle, a full sister to Austraslian Horse of the Year Lankan Rupee.

Lot 25 Filly Snitzel x Asterix (Jpn), by Neo Universe – Arrowfield Stud

Half-sister to Japanese Group I winner Aerolithe from a half-sister to Japanese Group I winner Mikki Isle, who covered 96 mares in his first season at Arrowfield last spring. A filly with a superb international pedigree that would be at home at any major yearling sale in the world.

Lot 76 Filly Fastnet Rock x Comaneci, by High Chaparral (IRE) - Segenhoe Stud for Fairway Thoroughbreds

First foal of a winning daughter of Group I AJC Australian Oaks winner and world renowned blue hen Circles of Gold, the dam of champions Elvstroem and Haradasun as well as the dam of Highland Reel, the highest ever European stakes earner.

Lot 117 Filly Fastnet Rock x Estelle Collection, by Stravinsky (USA) – Coolmore

Three-quarter sister to $4million earner and Australian Horse of the Year Lankan Rupee from Group III winner Estelle Collection, who was bought by Coolmore for $1.4 million at the Teeley Assets Dispersal in 2014.

Lot 266 Filly Snitzel x Nureyev's Girl by Nureyev – Bhima Thoroughbreds as agent for Cambridge Stud

Three-quarter sister to Group I winner King's Rose (the dam of a very good Group place-getter in Japan) and Group II winner Hardham from an international Black Type family.

Lot 284 Filly I Am Invincible x Peggy Jean. by Myboycharlie (IRE) – Widden Stud

First foal of Group I ATC Sires Produce Stakes winner Peggy Jean, who was bought by Widden Stud for $1million 2016 when carrying this filly. From a top class race filly tracing back to a top class Australian speed family featuring Group I winner Lady Jakeo and Mrs Onassis.

Lot 294 Filly Snitzel x Precious Lorraine, by Encosta de Lago – Newgate Farm

Third foal of Precious Lorraine, a Group III winning sister to stakes-winner Lucky Raquie and closely related to Group I winner and sire Manhattan Rain. Third dam of this filly is Shantha's Choice, the dam of Redoute's Choice and grand-dam of current dual Group I winner Shoals. Dam was bougth by Newgate Farm for $1.5 million at the Teeley Assets Dispersal in 2014.
