Racing NSW Orders Rosehill Vote Postponed

Breednet - Friday March 28

Racing NSW has directed the Australian Turf Club to postpone the vote on the sale of Rosehill racecourse amid the concerns the club has provided insufficient information for members to “make a properly informed decision”.

The vote to sell Rosehill has been postponed by the order of Racing NSW

Racing NSW released the following:

Racing NSW has today directed the Australian Turf Club (ATC) to postpone its upcoming vote on the proposed sale of Rosehill Racecourse.

This decision follows concerns raised by members of the ATC and industry participants that the information that has been provided by the ATC is insufficient (both in respect of the “Yes” and “No” positions) to enable them to make a properly informed decision on the proposed resolutions.

The potential sale of Rosehill Racecourse represents a matter of significant strategic importance with long-term implications for the entire racing industry. It is essential that any such decision is made on the basis of full and accurate information.

The ATC has confirmed that the vote will be postponed to 12 May 2025, with further details provided to members as soon as practically possible.

No further comment will be made at this stage.
