Newgate Drafts a Highlight at Inglis Chairman’s and Broodmare Sale

Golden Slipper winner Estijaab highlighted the sort of quality that can be found in a Newgate draft of premium mares, her dam Response sold by Newgate for $1,5 million at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale in 2015 to Katsumi Yoshida.

Response was sold by Newgate FarmResponse was in foal to champion sire Snitzel with Estijaab the resulting foal that was then sold by Arrowfield at Inglis Easter for $1.7 million to Emirates Park.

A dual Group I winner by Charge Forward, Response was bought by SF Bloodstock for $840,000 at the Inglis Broodmare Sale in 2012 when she was straight off the track.

Her first foal, a Fastnet Rock filly, was sold by Newgate at Magic Millions for $1,050,000 to China Horse Club.

Raced by China Horse Club and Newgate, she gained Black Type in a brief career winning two of five starts and is now at stud and expecting her first foal by Written Tycoon.

An obvious highlight is Group I winner Dizelle, the dam of Group I VRC Oaks winner Pinot offered in foal to Flying Artie.She will be offered on behalf of Wilf and Rosemary Mula's Aston Bloodstock.
