Tara Madgwick - Sunday March 16

There’s a well proven recipe for success in finding an expensive yearling colt that shows ability, but not enough to remain a colt that then heads to Inglis Digital.

Brad Widdup identified just such a horse at the 2024 May (late) sale and duly bid $55,000 to secure I Am Invincible colt Money Team - click to see his page.

A $1million Inglis Easter purchase for TFI/ Kia Ora from the Torryburn Stud draft, the I Am Invincible colt from Group III winning mare The Pinnacle had one unplaced start for Kacy Fogden before heading south to join the Price -Kent team and had four starts for them in maiden events and placed in all of them without winning.

Since being gelded and going to Brad Widdup, Money Team has won a trial and four races with the most recent victory a dominant win in the $150,000 Polytrack Provincial-Midway Championship Qualifier at Gosford on Saturday that  will see him earn a place in the $1million Provincial Championship at Randwick next month.

Money Team has now had four wins and four placings from eight starts earning $162,980 with the possibility of a very big pay day now on the horizon.
