Golden Slipper Order of Entry – Final Before Acceptance

Tara Madgwick - Sunday March 16

The last Slipper lead up races were run at Rosehill on Saturday and while Skyhook is expected to take his place in the Golden Slipper next Saturday, Memo was announced as highly unlikely by her trainer Peter Snowden, so here is how the field is shaping and if you are a Wodeton supporter he’s looking good for a start.

Skyhook will be looking to emulate the success of 2023 Slipper winner Shinzo next weekend in coming into the race with very similar formlines, although Shinzo had three trials before his debut on January 28, whereas Skyhook had one before stepping out for the first time on February 15.

Both colts coming into the Slipper at their fourth start following a debut third, then a second in the G2 Skyline and a win in the G3 Pago Pago.

Wodeton will also come to the race at his fourth start and the colt that beat him last start Tentyris is out of play with a stress fracture, so that’s one rival he does not need to worry about.
