First Stakes Win for Blueblood I Am Invincible Colt

Tara Madgwick - Saturday March 8

By champion sire I Am Invincible from the family of world champion racehorse Winx, Enriched is a colt with pedigree aplenty and now he has a Black Type victory to his name after taking out the Listed ATC Fireball Stakes (1100m) at Randwick on Saturday.

Trained by Michael Freedman and ridden by Tommy Berry, he took a split up the fence to score a three-quarter length win, his second from seven starts with over $219,000 in prizemoney.

“He’s been a horse that I’ve liked right from day dot and it’s taken him a little while to put things together,” said Michael Freedman.

“He’s very talented and I think he can go further.”

Michael Freedman is looking to further Group races as the autumn unfolds for Enriched.

Consigned by Bhima Stud to Inglis Easter, Enriched was a $450,000 purchase for Michael Freedman Racing / Gandharvi / Mick Wallace.

Bred by Peter and Terry Board who retain a share in his ownership, Enriched is the third winner from four to race for the unraced Encosta De Lago mare Miss Atom Bomb, a half-sister to world champion and four time Australian Horse of the Year Winx and Group III winner El Divino.

Miss Atom Bomb had no yearling for the sales this year, but produced a colt by snitzel last year before going back to I Am Invincible.

Enriched is the 115th stakes-winner for I Am Invincible
