Yulong Swoop on $500,000 Zoustar Colt

Tara Madgwick - Sunday March 2

Yulong are by far the biggest vendor at Inglis Premier this year, but they are also active as purchasers securing a quality Zoustar colt offered by Rosemont Stud for $500,000 on Sunday.

$500,000 Zoustar colt from Crack the Code.

Maree McEwan caught up with Anthony Mithen shortly after the sale.

The star colt is the third living foal of stakes-winning I Am Invincible mare Crack the Code, who was bought by Rosemont Stud for $825,000 at the 2022 Inglis Chairman’s Sale. She sadly lost the Zoustar foal she was carrying at that time, but has made amends with this stunning colt.

A brilliant winner of the Group III MRC Kevin Hayes Stakes, Crack the Code comes with a big Black Type pedigree as a half-sister to Group I winner Covertly, Group III winner Secret Time and stakes-winner Secret Link with the family also producing Group II winner Super Smink.

Crack the Code was  given a year off in 2023 and covered last spring by Starspangledbanner.
