North Bloodstock Seeking Support for Shannon Betts

Breednet - Friday February 28

Pauline Alix and Mick Malone of North Bloodstock have set up a GoFundMe page to assist well known racing /bloodstock industry participant Shannon Betts, whose daughter Anais suffered a serious head injury in a freak accident last week and is currently in an induced coma.

Shannon Betts owns and runs Central Coast based spelling farm Emeran Park and is widely liked and respected throughout the industry.

Mick and Pauline from GoFundMe- I am reaching out to share an urgent and heartfelt appeal for support regarding a courageous 11-year-old girl named Anais Betts, Anais is the daughter of close friend of us all, and a huge industry contributor Shannon from Emeran Park. Tragically, little Anais is currently in an induced coma after suffering a severe head injury caused by a falling branch. Anais and a group from her school were visiting the governor-general's home in Canberra as part of a school excursion last Wednesday 19th February, when a tree branch fell on a group of kids, critically injuring Anais. This unforeseen incident has sparked a critical battle for her life, and she is receiving dedicated care at the Sydney Children’s Hospital.

In light of this situation, we are establishing a GoFundMe page to provide support for Shannon and her loving family during these challenging months ahead. At this moment, her condition remains uncertain, and both her medical team and family are facing significant concerns about her health.

We invite you to join us in this effort to help Shannon and her family navigate through this difficult time. Your contributions, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference and ensure they have the resources they need for Anais’s  recovery.

Each day brings new challenges, and the emotional and financial burden on her family is overwhelming. They are facing mounting medical bills, travel expenses for visiting the hospital, and the need for additional support as they navigate this difficult journey.

Anais is a bright, vibrant young girl with a love for swimming, slime making and bracelet empire building. Her laughter has always filled the room, and her spirit has brought joy to everyone around her. Now, as she fights to regain her strength, we want to rally our community to show her and her family that we are never alone, especially within the thoroughbred industry!

We are reaching out to you, our friends, family, and the racing community, to help us support Shannon and her family during this incredibly challenging time. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward her medical expenses and provide the necessary resources for her family to stay by her side.

Please consider contributing to our Go Fund Me page and sharing this message with others who may wish to help. Together, we can make a significant impact and show Shannon, Anais and her beautiful family the love and support she deserves as she battles through this incredibly challenging time. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Your support means the world to us and to Shannon's family.
