Promising 2YO Winner for Second Season Dubious

Breednet - Sunday February 23

Dubious juvenile Pretty Dubious looks to have more to offer after an impressive second start win at Doomben on Saturday in the Sky Racing QTIS Jewel Prelude.

Pretty Dubious as a yearling

Following a debut second to smart filly Sunrays, Vlad Duric took the gelding to the lead out of the gates and the Robert Heathcote trained son of Dubious defeated Thee Creek (Better Than Ready) by 1.9 lengths with Toro Chase (Toronado) third.

Pretty Dubious was a $32,000 purchase for Paul Willetts Bloodstock/Robert Heathcote from the Kenmore Lodge draft at the MM Gold Coast Yearling Sale Book 2.

Yesterday’s win takes his earnings to $120,400 including $24,500 QTIS Bonus and he will no doubt head to the $500,000 QTIS Jewel at the Gold Coast on March 8

Pretty Dubious is the second winner from two to race for four time winning Henny Hughes mare Pretty Face, from the family of Group I NZ Thousand Guineas winner Hasahalo.
