Trapeze Artist had a treble of winners on Friday that included his most expensive yearling ever sold Trapeze Warrior, who saluted at Moonee Valley for the Phillip Stokes stable.

Ridden by Thomas Stockdale, Trapeze Warrior broke through for his third from nine starts when kicking on to win the 1000m Benchmark 70 event by a length.

An $850,000 Magic Millions purchase, Trapeze Warrior was bred by Mill Park in partnership and offered by them at the Gold Coast where he was snapped up by his trainer Phillip Stokes and runs for an ownership group that includes his breeders.

He is a half-brother to Group III placed Written Swoosh and is one of three winners from Cocoa Doll, a metro winning half-sister by More Than Ready (USA) to Champion 2YO Filly and multiple Group winning $3.7million earner Away Game and stakes-winner Modern Wonder.

Mill Park sold a Snitzel colt from Cocoa Doll at Magic Millions in 2023 for $950,000 to Rosemont Alliance/Suman Hedge Bstock/Julian Blaxland Bstock/Anthony Freedman Racing/ARJB Racing and then sold a Home Affairs filly at the Gold Coast this year for $260,0o00 to O'Shea-Charlton Racing/James Bester Bloodstock.
