Headwater Filly Wins Second Stakes Race

Tara Madgwick - Sunday February 2

Bred by leading WA breeders Peters Investments, three year-old Headwater filly London’s Image was sold as a yearling at Magic Millions in Adelaide so does not race in the famous cerise and white, but she is still making her mark and won the $125,000 Listed Bunbury WA Breeders Classic (1200m) on Sunday.

Trained by Ryan Hill and ridden by Brad Parnham, London’s Image was already a stakes-winner having won a Listed race at Ascot last November and has maintained her form since then going into this race as a well favoured runner.

She scored by three-quarters of a length taking her overall record to five wins and four placings from 14 starts with prizemoney topping $410,000.

Purchased for just $20,000 from Magic Millions in Adelaide from the Holbrook Thoroughbreds draft, London’s Image is the best of four winners from the now retired stakes-winning More Than Ready (USA) mare New Image.

London's Image was a $20,000 MM Adelaide purchase.

From one of the most successful Peters owned female families, New Image is a full sister to Group I winner Perfect Reflection, Group III winner Perfect Image and half-sister to stakes-winner Elusive Image.

London’s Image is one of eight stakes-winners by Vinery Stud’s value sire Headwater.
