The Barry Campbell trained first starter Sanniya was able to overturn the hot favourite Zany Girl to win the $85,000 juvenile contest over 1200m. The daughter of Stratosphere was too quick and previously unbeaten Zany Girl couldn’t quite bridge the gap going down by three-quarters of a length.

A $67,500 Magic Millions Tasmania purchase for Star Thoroughbreds/ Randwick Bloodstock from Grenville Stud, Sanniya is the third winner from Lady Writer, an unraced half-sister by Written Tycoon to stakes-placed Emily’s Girl from stakes-winner Wavishing.
