Family Search Finds Willaidow Relation

Tara Madgwick - Sunday February 2

Breednet’s Family Search feature is very good for sniffing out close relations to stakes-winners in upcoming sales and one of the most interesting stakes-winners from Saturday was Shamus Award gelding Willaidow and being from a well known female family he was always going to be a good candidate for a search.

Willaidow is the first foal of Stimulated, who is a grand-daughter of Group II winner Excited Angel, which is where this family gets a little bit exciting and has offshoots in all directions.

There are four yearlings from the family as you can see below, but one in particular is very closely related to Willaidow.

Offered at Inglis Classic as Lot 115 by Golden Grove Stud is a filly by Shamus Award from metro winning Choisir mare Chosen Angel, a half-sister to Group II winner Text ‘n’ Hurley and a grand-daughter of Excited Angel as is Willaidow.
