Purchased by John Thompson Racing / Boomer Bloodstock, Open Secret made a winning debut last Saturday at Randwick beating $1.8million Snitzel colt United States and banked $105,000 for her first win with the promise of a much bigger pay day next week.

“She trialled well and typically we would trial them again, but with the Inglis race in two weeks time we decided to come here as her second trial and hopefully get some prizemoney and we got more than a bit,” said John Thompson.

“Class takes you a long way, but no way did I think she would lead today, I thought they would be too quick for her, but she has natural talent and two year-olds just go and do it.”

Middlebrook Valley Lodge have another great selection this year presenting 16 yearlings by 13 different sires, click here for the full draft with highlights below.
