Tassort 2YO Impressive at Seymour

Tara Madgwick - Thursday January 16

Lloyd Kennewell and Lucy Yeomans will be hoping for a brilliant performance from their star filly Invincible Woman in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic on Friday night, but in the meantime they produced another speedy two year-old filly in Bliss Bomb to win at Seymour on Thursday.

Third on debut at Morphettville on Boxing Day behind highly rated filly La Roux, the daughter of Tassort showed abundant speed to lead for Zac Spain and was never challenged in cruising home to win the 1100m dash by a length and a half.

"When Lloyd and Lucy took her over to Adelaide, they thought they should be very competitive and she was and the two horses out of that look pretty handy," Zac Spain said.

"The handy horse of Phillip Stokes' (La Roux) came out and won again at Murray Bridge quite convincingly and the thing that ran second (Eagerly Awaits) ran second to it again.

"The form was there, she's very natural, she was quick out, able to travel and she was never going to get beaten today."

Bliss Bomb was a $100,000 MM Adelaide purchase.

A $100,000 Magic Millions Adelaide purchase for Kennewell Racing/Group 1 Bloodstock from the Caithness Breeding draft, Bliss Bomb is the fourth winner from four to race from stakes-placed More Than Ready (USA) mare Ready Cuz, who comes from the family of Group II winner No Evidence Needed, the dam of Group I winning I Am Invincible colt Move to Strike.

Bliss Bomb was bred by Trilogy Racing, who retain a share in her ownership, and her dam had a colt last spring by Sejardan before going to another of the Blue Gum Farm sires in Flying Artie.

Bliss Bomb is the third two year-old winner this season for Tassort from six runners and he will have a runner in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic on Friday night when stakes-placed Secret Sort jumps from gate two.
