A Morning with Moody

Media Release - Wednesday March 7
Former champion racehorse trainer Peter Moody will be sharing his lively stories, and giving tips on what to look for in a racehorse at an exclusive event on the Gold Coast on Sunday March 18.

Peter MoodyThe free initiative is aimed at providing information about racehorse ownership and how to become involved in the industry.
Joining Moody will be other high profile trainers including, Tony Gollan, Kelly Schweida and Stuart Kendrick.

"It's a unique opportunity to hear from a broad spectrum of industry participants about the experiences of racing, and change the misconception that it's too expensive for the average person,"
said Thoroughbred Breeders Queensland Association President, Basil Nolan.

"There has never been a better time to own a racehorse; prize money has never been stronger, racing itself and the quality of horse has never been as strong."

The Queensland Thoroughbred Incentive Scheme (QTIS) is one of the best schemes in the country; offering enormous bonus prize money, up to $10 million per year.

"Horses at the approaching March QTIS sale are affordable to everyone and can range from as little as $2,000 up," said Mr Nolan.

You can walk away with a horse like Paradis Imperial; she was bought for just $9,000, is trained in Rockhampton by Tony McMahon and has won almost $350,000 in just 18 months of racing.

Not only will the Morning with Moody provide an opportunity to talk to a variety of trainers and syndicators, but there's also the chance to win prestigious Ringside Dining packages for the March Magic Millions Yearling Sale.

"This gives them the exciting hands-on experience of the sales, while 'living it up' like Gai Waterhouse and other celebrities," said Mr Nolan.

Participants can also go into the draw to win a VIP experience to the Doomben 10,000, including two nights accommodation at the Brisbane Novotel, valued at $1,700.

You can register for the event online at www.racingconnections.com.au or contact Stacey Silver at the TBQA for more information 0412 026 540.
