Vinery Sell $900,000 I Am Invincible Filly

Tara Madgwick - Friday January 10

Vinery Stud have done a mighty job meeting the market at this sale and heading through Friday afternoon are batting at 100% clearance and they were well rewarded on Friday when selling a gorgeous I Am Invincible filly from Group III placed all Too Hard mare Saas Fee for $900,000.

$900,000 I Am Invincible filly from Saas Fee

The second foal of a full sister to Group III winner Hard Landing and daughter of Group I VRC Lightning Stakes winner Snizterland, this lovely filly ticked the pedigree and type boxes for a lot of people with Waller Racing/Mulcaster Bloodstock, placing the winning bid.

“We’ve got a good client and he wanted a very good Vinnie filly and we thought she was up in the top couple,” said Guy Mulcaster.

“The one ten lots before (from Rough Rider that sold for $750,000) made similar sort of money so that is the sort of money you have to pay for the quality.

“She’s out of a good mare, good family and looks like she’ll get up and run. Very happy.”

The star filly was bred by some of the Vinery partners, as was her dam Saas Fee, who has made a positive start to her stud career with her first foal, a filly by Ole Kirk, bought by Darby Racing/Deburgh Equine for $300,000 at this sale last year. Named Cold Gin, she is in work with Bjorn Baker.

Saas Fee had a colt by Exceedance last year and is now in foal to Ole Kirk.
