One to Watch - Wyong –Sibling for MM

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday December 31

Emirates Park have already had plenty of success with a couple of homebred fillies by Tassort in Manaal and Ameena and a debut winner by the same sire at Wyong on New Year’ Eve looks like she has a lot more to offer.

Trained by Peter Snowden, three year-old filly Manaajem was having her first start in the 1100m maiden and bolted in for Braith Nock to win by three and a half lengths showing some of the ability of her stakes-winning siblings Charm Stone and Najmaty.

Manaajem was retained to race and had looked good winning her only two previous trials and is now the fourth winner from four to race from Group III winning Northern Meteor mare Najoom.

Najoom was bought as a yearling at Magic Millions back in 2013 by Emirates Park from Willow Park Stud for $225,000 and has done a great job so far at stud producing Group III winner Charm Stone, who they sold as a yearling for $1.55million, and also stakes-winner Najmaty, who was retained, with both of those fillies by I Am Invincible.

Emirates Park will offer the current yearling filly by I Am Invincible from Najoom at Magic Millions as Lot 710.

Najoom had no foal in 2024 after missing to Justify (USA) and is now back in foal to Tassort, who has good representation at upcoming sales with .19 in Magic Millions and 15 for Inglis Classic.
