Magic Millions 2YO and 3YO Order of Entry Updated

Tara Madgwick - Monday December 30

A busy period of holiday racing has led to a shake up of the Magic Millions order of entry for the 2YO Classic and 3YO Guineas with Wootton Bassett (GB) colt Gallo Nero zooming into contention, while unheralded three year-old Cosmic Force gelding Give Me Space put himself in the picture with a last to first win in the Group III BRC Vo Rogue Plate.

A field of 16 is decided for both races and competition is fierce further down the pecking order to secure a chance to run for $3million in prizemoney.

A $370,000 Magic Millions purchase by Wootton Bassett (GB), who was the leading first season sire at Magic Millions in 2024, the Team Hawkes trained Gallo Nero has had a perfect preparation for the race and beat a couple of the top contenders in O'Ole, Memo and Tempestuous when winning last Saturday at Randwick.

A $75,000 Magic Millions purchase, the Barry Lockwood trained Give Me Space has won three of six starts and came from last to win on Saturday with several key 3YO Guineas contenders following him in Zoubaby, Catoggio and Bosustow.

Lightly raced So You Think filly Tuileries was ultra impressive winning at Randwick on Boxing Day, but appears to be out on the fringe in terms of getting a start despite being posted as one of the favoruites.
