Unreserved Broodmare Packages Highlight Current Gavelhouse.com NZ Catalogue

Media Release - Thursday March 1
The latest gavelhouse New Zealand catalogue is online with 36 Lots on offer including yearlings, tried and untried racing stock and broodmare packages from some of New Zealand's leading stud farms.

Four unreserved three-in-one broodmare packages on account of Windsor Park Stud should hold plenty of appeal and to further sweeten the deal on these Lots, the team at Windsor are offering purchasers of these packages a 10% discount on service fees to their resident stallions for the mares this breeding season.

On the decision to sell the mares Stud Manager Rodney Schick commented.

"We've got quite a few members of these families so these packages represent a great opportunity for perhaps smaller breeders to add some depth to their herds with the added bonus of a discount on a service fee to one of our resident stallions in the spring."

Lot 23One such lot is Lot 23, Areyouachita who is in foal to Encosta De Lago's Group One winning, first season sire-son, Vanbrugh. Also included in the package is the mare's bay colt at foot by Group One winner and Group One producing son of the incomparable Galileo, Rip Van Winkle. Areyouachita is a half-sister to two stakes performers including Guineas winner Barside.

The three other Windsor Park Lots feature foals at foot by Atlante and Rip Van Winkle while being in foal to other resident sires in their Street Cry son Rageese and two-time Horse of the Year Mongolian Khan.

Adding further depth to the catalogue is
Lot 26 on account of Highview Stud as agent. Jelly is for unreserved sale while being in foal to Waikato Stud's

internationally successful sire Pins. Pins has been twice crowned Champion Hong Kong Sire, as well as New Zealand's leading sire for stakes winners. His progeny were in high demand at the 2018 Karaka Book One Sale with his yearlings selling for up to $420,000.

Also unreserved is
Lot 28 on account of Wellfield Lodge as agent. A full sister to multiple Group One winner Fiveandahalfstars, My Savona is also half sister to Group Three performer Wordplay.
