Danny’s St Darci Rings Up Stakes Double for All Too Hard

Tara Madgwick - Saturday December 7

Vinery Stud’s All Too Hard enjoyed a trans Tasman stakes double on Saturday with seasoned stakes performer Babylon Berlin claiming another Group win in New Zealand, while at Eagle Farm consistent mare Danny’s St Darci broke through for a deserved first Black Type success in the Listed BRC Just Now Stakes (1300m).

Sold through the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale earlier this year for just $70,000, Danny’s St Darci looked to have been incredibly well bought as a stakes-placed six time winner of over $300,000 in prizemoney and has been a great investment for her new connections given in her catalogue page she is listed as a breeding proposition only, go figure!

Transferred from the Archie Alexander stable in Victoria to NSW country trainer Matthew Dale, Danny’s St Darci has been twice Group placed since the sale and broke through for a stakes win when skipping clear of race favourite Cigar Flick to win by three-quarters of a length for Ryan Maloney.

Matt Dale was thrilled with the win given his wife is a part owner of the six year-old mare, who has now won over $500,000.

The 27th stakes-winner for All Too Hard, Danny’s St Darci was bred by Rosemont Stud and is a half-sister to Group III placed Unstoppabelle and is the best of four winners from Darcibelle (NZ), a half-sister by Darci Brahma to Group II winner Twilight Royale, the dam of Group II winner Serasana.

All Too Hard is the sire of Dann's St Darci.

Darcibelle has a yearling colt by Hanseatic that will be offered by Glenbeigh Farm at Inglis Classic as Lot 140 and it’s quite a prolific female family that has produced three more yearlings that will be offered at Magic Millions and Inglis Classic.
