Two Aus winners in South Africa

Breednet - Friday February 23
Foxwedge had a new winner in South Africa on Thursday when Infamous Fox broke his maiden at Vaal.

Infamous Fox as a yearlingHaving been gelded after his second start, he had resumed from a short break previously for an improved placing and with the benefit of that run was always a short-priced favourite and proved too good to win by over two lengths.

Infamous Fox was a relative cheapie at the 2016 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale when offered by Glastonbury Farms and knocked down to Central Route Trading for $25,000.

He is out of the Nadeem mare, French, a half-sister to Gr3 Mannerism Stakes winner Typhoon Billie and has My Marseillaise as his third dam which brings horses like Grosvenor, National Gallery and Mahaya into his family.

Foxwedge has 11 yearlings entered for the upcoming Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale and three at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

There was another Australian winner on the card also with three-year-old Charge Forward filly San Fermin scoring her second win, having made a winning debut back in November.

She was a $100,0000 buy at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale when offered by Arrowfield Stud.
