Trained by Ciaron Maher, Yes Lulu was placed in the Group III VRC Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes at Flemington and Listed MRC Redoute’s Choice Stakes at two and resumed from a spell with an unplaced run in the Group III VRC Red Roses Stakes at Flemington earlier this month.

Given a soft option here in a 1200m maiden, she cruised clear to win by a length and a half and will take good confidence from the win with a return to better company on the cards now she has broken the ice.

A $260,000 Magic Millions purchase for Ciaron Maher Bloodstock/Brut Racing from the Widden Stud draft, she made the same money at the Gold Coast as she did when offered there as a weanling by Milburn Creek and bought by Suman Hedge Bloodstock (FBAA)/Redwall Bloodstock.

Yes Lulu is a half-brother to stakes-winner Jack the Lad and is the fourth winner from four foals to race from Luluoro, an unraced half-sister by Redoute’s Choice to US stakes-winner Topic.

Yes Lulu is the 15th winner this season for Everest winner Yes Yes Yes, putting him into second place on the second crop sires table by winners.
