Your Song Winner in South Africa

Tara Madgwick - Friday February 9
Your Song featured in South Africa on Thursday with an impressive three year-old winner called Nautic Spirit, who has a sibling headed to Inglis Premier.

Your SongTrained by Paul Peter, Nautic Spirit improved on a last start second to bolt away and win the 1200 metre maiden by more than five lengths at her fourth start as a short priced favourite.

Passed in as a weanling, Nautic Spirit was bred by Baddock Bloodstock and is the first foal of Karalli, a half-sister to stakes-winner Actress and and also the dam of Group I stars Desert War and Laser Hawk.

Karalli was bought by Rosemont Stud at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale in 2015 and they sold a Zoustar filly from her at Magic Millions last year for $400,000.

Her current yearling is a filly by Starspangledbanner that will be offered asLot 451 at Inglis Premier next month.

Nautic Spirit is another nice winner for Your Song, who has 14 entries for Inglis Classic starting on Saturday night.
