Winning Month for Sebring Sun

Sponsored Content - by Tara Madgwick - Monday October 21

Much missed Golden Slipper winning sire Sebring has several sons at stud and one of the quiet achievers is Glenthorne Park Stud’s Sebring Sun, who has had a winning run since the start of October highlighting his success as a great option for owner breeders chasing the dream on a budget.

A Listed winner that finished third in the Group I ATC Golden Rose, Sebring Sun has covered small books of mares since retiring to stud in 2018 and with his oldest progeny just turned five his runners are now doing the talking for him.

His first three crops of racing age were all conceived at a fee of just $3,300 and so far 40 have made it to the races and 23 of them have won!

They include metro winners Acappella Sun and Acappella Moon, who have both finished fourth in stakes races as well as Tasmanian metro winner Miami Sun, plus slick juveniles Sunnycoast and Sammiballerina, who both won the $150,000 Capricornia Classic at Rockhampton.

Since the start of October, Sebring Sun has hit a purple patch siring the winners below.

His current pin-up horse is progressive three year-old Acappella Nova, who has had two wins from three starts in the Tony Gollan stable and scored easily at Doomben last Wednesday.
