Another Sunlight?

Tara Madgwick - Sunday February 4
The best two year-old filly seen out this season is Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Sunlight and this Inglis Classic vendor will offer a filly bred just like her next week at Riverside Stables.

Mate Story was bred and sold by Rheinwood PastoralSituated in the Southern Highlands at Mittagong on 142 undulating acres, Rheinwood Pastoral is a highly successful boutique nursery owned and run by Ray and Marilyn Willis that has produced a long list of stakes horses and winners including two that have saluted on the past two Saturdays.

Smart Hinchinbrook four year-old Muddy Rope won his third race from just 11 starts for Chris Anderson at the Gold Coast last month, while Mate Story also won his third race when taking out the Highway event at Rosehill last Saturday for Goulburn trainer Jean Dubois.

By Wanted from Glitter Galore, Mate Story was the first city winner for his trainer and was a modest $20,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the Rheinwood draft and from just 10 starts has won nearly $80,000 in prizemoney.

Rheinwood Pastoral will present seven yearlings at Inglis Classic:

Lot 373 Filly Shooting to Win x Electric Charge, by Charge Forward

Bred on the same cross as star filly Sunlight being by a Group I winning son of Northern Meteor from a daughter Charge Forward, who is making a real name for himself as a broodmare sire. His daughters have already produced six stakes-winners headed by Golden Slipper winner She Will Reign, who is also sired by a son of Encosta de Lago (sire of Northern Meteor) in Manhattan Rain.

She is the first foal of a winning half-sister to Group III winner Miss Darcey from stakes-winner Miss Bussell, both fillies also Group I placed, so it's a filly family of real class with Electric Charge's grand-dam Lurestina, the winner of a Group I Auckland Cup.

Lot 514
Colt Rubick x Mane Chance, by Reset

One of three in the draft by another exciting young Encosta de Lago son in Rubick and is a half-brother to a winner from a half-sister to stakes-winner Insistence. Further back it's the family of current season two year-old stakes-winner Outback Barbie.
